Leibniz University offers numerous support services for the personal development of postdocs as well as for research and career-related questions. As the career phase of postdocs involves a lot of mobility and, sometimes, rapid changes of research institution, we would like to provide all new postdocs - whether new to the postdoc phase or new at Leibniz University – with quick orientation and good networking opportunities.

We have therefore put together a series of events for you. It offers you the opportunity to exchange ideas with each other, bundles information on important aspects of the postdoc phase and introduces you to the central points of contact at the university for interdisciplinary research and career-related questions. Above all, however, you can benefit from the reports of experienced postdocs.

Below you will find all events as well as the main topics of the individual meet-ups, if these have already been determined. One or two postdocs will be invited to each of the postdoc meet-ups to report on their postdoc-specific experiences and thus determine the focus of the respective meet-up in coordination with the organizing service institution. This can include experience with financial support, navigating the next strategic career steps or with hurdles when entering the postdoc phase or at the university. Participants are welcome to bring their questions and ask them.
